I can't believe we have a 3 month old baby! 3 months has really been a turning point for little Kady - she's like a REAL person now! Here are a few of our favorite milestones:
She holds herself up all the time now, so no more worrying about her head falling off because we're not supporting her neck well enough - thank goodness. She sits in her little squishy chair and stares at us while we're playing on the computer or cleaning house just like a regular member of the family. Although she displays her strength quite well during "tummy time," she spits up by the gallon when on her tummy, so she doesn't do it very often.
She's a talker! A couple nights ago, I was laughing at her and she responded to my laughing with the sweetest coos I've ever heard. It went on for a good two to three minutes of me laughing and her talking back with gigantic grins.
Speaking of grins, she is quite the smiler. When I come home from work, I look at her and she instantly smiles - it is the best feeling in the world. She pretty much smiles at anyone who smiles at her, but sometimes she gets a little shy and will give people a smile and then turn her head away and nuzzle into my chest, it is so cute!
She got her first cold, followed by an ear infection, this week. :( It's made her much more mellow and not very interested in playing, but she seems to be getting better already so we'll hope for a full recovery by next week (and hopefully not another one anytime soon).
Luckily, she's developing Clark's laid-back tempermant, as not much seems to bother her. As long as she playing, reading or sitting on your lap, she's perfectly content (as long as she has food in her belly!).
