Kady's Korner: 11 Weeks

Daddy caught us sleeping in

Just chillin' with dad on Christmas

She looks like such a big girl sitting up!

I guess she didn't like being called a tax deduction!

Kady at her cutest

Pretty little Christmas dress, and cutest Christmas shoes ever

Look at that neck, she is so strong!

My favorite smile I've ever seen :)

Wow, Kady has changed so much over the past month! She is becoming more of her own person everyday and developing the sweetest personality. She cries only when she's hungry, tired or has a dirty diaper (boy does she hate those dirty diapers). Here are a few highlights of the past couple weeks:

Lots of smiles! If you smile at her, she will often smile back, and it is the cutest smile I've ever seen.

A little laughter. Raspberries on the belly will yield something resemblant of a laugh (a smile followed by a grunt or coo). I can't wait for this to develop into full belly laughs.

A little talking. During her happiest times (usually in the morning), when all attention is on her and you talk to her, she will sometimes talk back in the sweetest sounds. Just baby coos, nothing in English, but it's so cute.

A little movement on the floor. On her tummy, she can scooch around and turned herself a full 90 degrees one day! On her back, she reaches for toys hanging above her and grabs onto them. Dad works on this during their together time.

Reading her new book collection. Kady received several books for Christmas and we've already read them all ... a couple times each. She enjoys looking at the pictures, at least for a few minutes until she gets bored and needs something new to do.

Last week as mom's first full week back to work so Kady stayed home with dad. They had lots of fun and dad said she was a great baby with hardly any crying. He quickly learned the feeding and diaper changing schedule, and even had time left over for playing.

We continue to fall more in love with her everyday. Although we look forward to seeing her personality continue to develop, we are treasuring the snuggles and precious moments only an infant can offer.
