We had a great road trip to Wyoming last week! We left Tuesday evening and drove to Missoula, Montana (arriving about 2:30 a.m.), and then drove to Alpine, Wyoming on Wednesday. Kady didn't do great the first night of driving, but slept the majority of the trip during the day Wednesday.
Clark went fishing with Tyler Thursday and Friday and they caught like 100 fish or something crazy. Kady and Michelle went to Jackson Hole with Kristen, Cameron and Tyson. We walked around town square and had a yummy lunch at the Silver Dollar. Then we saw the Teton mountains, which were gorgeous! Next time we'll drive through the park and see some of the hot tourist spots. :) Kristen and the boys also showed us several of the rivers, which were just beautiful. We saw rams, bison, and of course, deer.
Saturday we took the kids and went floating down the river on innertubes. Thank goodness Tyler pulled me and Kristen in the "cadillac" of innertubes because Kady did not take it very well. Eventually she fell asleep and stayed asleep through the "white water" (Tyler classified it at 0.2 ;)).
On the way home, we stopped in Missoula again about 3:00 a.m. and the hotel we planned to stay at was booked so we ended up at a DoubleTree hotel in a suite with a gorgeous view of the river. We finally made it home Sunday evening and went to bed by 8:00 p.m.
It was the ideal relaxing vacation and good time spent with friends. We can't wait to go back next summer!
